Abstract

3.5W average power, 771nm laser source is demonstrated using a combination of 40dBm, laser-diode-seeded Ytterbium-Erbium fibre amplifier and quasi-phase- matched second harmonic generation in periodically poled KTP. A 40% average power conversion efficiency is achieved, across the full output power range.
