Abstract

The incorporation of non active ions like Lu3+, Gd3+, Y3+, La3+, Ce3+ or Sc3+ in Nd:CaF2 significantly shapes the broadband emission around 1.053μm. considering the high thermal conductivity of these crystals, this may lead to new efficient gain materials in inertial fusion facilities.
