High-power high repetition rate mid-infrared flash-pumped Q-switched Er:YAG laser

Abstract

The mechanically Q-switched 2.94mm Er:YAG laser was developed. The laser operated at 25Hz repetition rate generating pulses of 30 mJ energy and duration below 290ns which corresponds to over 100kW peak power.
