Changes in cerebral total haemoglobin volume and cytochrome oxidase redox state during deep apnoeas in patients with obstructive sleep apnoea

Abstract

Near infrared spectroscopy was used to measure changes in cerebral haemoglobin and cytochrome concentration in obstructive sleep apnoea. During deep apnoeas, two different patterns in the changes in these signals can be seen.
