Abstract
Optical tweezer is a tool that can capture and manipulate micrometric and sub-micrometric objects with a highly-focused beam laser. It was opened a new research field in multiple areas, such as biology and micro-biology from the first capture observation with radiation pressure. This work contains an analysis of the light forces presented in the capture, which can be explained from two theoretical regimes-the “Rayleigh regime” and the “Mie regime”, we have developed a graphic user interface in MATLAB that allows the analysis of those forces of capture based on the regimes previously named and concedes the introduction of parameters that the user choses.
