Abstract
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has constructed a prototype mobile pulsed heterodyne lidar to demonstrate the feasibility of similar satellite-borne systems for measuring global winds such as windsat.1 Table I lists important system parameters.
