Picosecond Nd:YAG regeneration ring amplifier

Abstract

We report development of a regenerative ring amplifier to produce stable high-power picosecond pulses. Although other regenerative amplifier systems have been developed,1,3 this system is simpler: no precision timing circuits are required for its operation, and low-power single-pulse selection is not necessary.
