Abstract
Among the rare gas monohalide excimer molecules, the XeF(C—A) excimer transition is unique due to its exceptionally broadband fluorescence spectrum in the blue-green. Such a XeF(C—A) laser has been efficiently tuned with a narrow spectral width (0.001–0.01 nm) using injection control.1 Since the laser was pumped by a short pulse (10 ns) and high-current-density (>200-A/ cm2) electron beam, temporal buildup of the optical field is of significant importance.
