Abstract
Electronic stimulated Raman conversion of XeCI excimer laser output at 308 to 489 nm is of considerable interest for the application of submarine laser communication utilizing the Cs atomic resonance filter receiver. System requirements dictate that the converter be as efficient as possible, be reasonably compact, provide good beam qualify, and exhibit long life. This paper presents results of experiments showing progress in all these areas as wen as enhancements to a computer code modeling the conversion process.
