Abstract
Phase conjugation is effective in correcting spatial aberration.1 Among various nonlinear materials used for phase conjugate mirrors, photorefractive crystals2 show high reflectivity even for low beam power, although they have relatively long response times; BaTiO3 has a response time of 1 – 10 s for milliwatt power. The wavefront aberration of the output laser beam from an acoustooptic modulator (AOM) is a serious problem in high resolution heterodyne interferometric measurements.
