Abstract
Frequency stabilization of 1.5-µm semiconductor lasers is important for coherent optical communication systems. Such stabilizations have been carried out by using gaseous organic molecules (NH3, H2O, etc.) as frequency references.1 However, their low absorption coefficients and the difficulty of spectral assignments limit the sensitivity of frequency discrimination and frequency reproducibility.
