Abstract
Zinc selenide, a II-VI compound semiconductor with a direct band gap energy of 2.7 eV, has received much attention recently for its potential use in blue electrooptic devices. This paper describes recent work on low temperature laser assisted metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (LMOCVD) of this material.
