Abstract
A new comprehensive kinetic and extraction model of the xenon chloride (XeCl) excimer laser, including new kinetic pathways and electron chemistry, has recently been developed.1 A computer code based on this model and incorporating the same general features as our earlier krypton fluoride simulation code2 has been employed to investigate the range of scaling of high power XeCl lasers with relevant experimental parameters. Of critical importance is the success of this model in simulating the results of previous experiments in both the high and low pump power regimes, since potential applications of XeCl exist in both.
