Abstract

Two-photon resonant four-wave sum frequency mixing (TP4WM) is an efficient method for generating tunable coherent radiation in the extreme ultraviolet (XUV). So far, XUV radiation tunable down to 72 nm has been reported by TP4WM in a Kr gas jet.1 For a further extension of the tunable range below 70 nm, it is essential to extend the two-photon wavelength into the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) below 200 nm.
