Abstract
Recent experiments have demonstrated a large number of new cw laser transitions below 300 nm in the noble gas ions.1,2 About half of these transitions are in krypton, the shortest wavelength being 239 nm. We have continued our work using the same laser. We now report continuous operation on a transition at 219 nm. In addition, total laser output power in the 242- 266-nm range has been increased from a few milliwatts to 2.5 W.
