Abstract
The structure of the cornea can be imaged with a laser scanning confocal imaging system. Several imaging modes are available to form high-contrast, high-resolution images of the corneal fine structure: coherent scattered light, coherent specular reflected light, and incoherent fluorescence. The various confocal imaging modes are complimentary and offer the possibility of multimodality confocal imaging.
