Abstract

Efficient frequency doubling of a laser diode using KNbO₃ crystal has recently been reported.¹·² Modula table blue-laser sources could offer applications for laser printers and optical data storage; however, direct modulation for doubling radiation has not yet been reported. We propose here a novel method for modulating frequency-doubled blue radiation.
