Abstract
Semiconductor laser logic devices using the quenching effect have been studied.1,2 We first reported all optical switching using the quenching of an oscillating power of a main laser by a light input to a side laser. The side-diode-injection laser was monolithically integrated and we found that the degree of quenching is large enough to operate as the optical logic gate.3
