Abstract
The dependence of absorption and harmonic generation on intensity in a laser-produced plasma with ultra-high flux densities has been Investigated. Our all-glass laser-using fiberless CPA technique delivers pulses of 1.5 J in 1.5 ps with a contrast ratio higher than 109 The absorption and the overall efficiency of the second harmonic generation (SHG) was investigated with the help of an Ulbricht sphere. The backscattered ω o 2ωo, 3ωo signals have been recorded by an optical multichannel analyzer.
