Abstract
It is well known that diode-pumped solid- state lasers exhibit high efficiency at low and moderate powers, being pumped by a single laser diode along the optical axis of the resonator. Further increase of the power is achieved by diode array side-pumping of neodymium rods. But the efficiency of this type of pumping is somewhat smaller because of nonideal overlapping of the inversion profile and tire desirable TBM00 lasing mode.1
