Abstract

We report the storage of up to 10,000 holograms in LiNbO3:Fe in the 90° geometry by using a long interaction length architecture (LILA).1 Each stored hologram has 480 × 440 bits, yielding a demonstrated storage capacity of 2.1 Gbits. This can be increased to 10 GBits if a million pixel SLM is used.
