Abstract
The demand for high power, low cost diode laser bars has increased in recent years mainly due to the quickly emerging field of diode-pumped solid-state lasers.1 This work investigates pulsed anodization as an alternative to standard laser bar processing. In contrast to deposited oxides which require sophisticated and expensive equipment, anodic oxides are produced with low cost lab equipment.
