Generation of vacuum ultraviolet light and measurement of phase matching angles in KBBF crystal

Abstract

The phase matching angles for second harmonic generation in KBBF have been determined from 194 to 170 nm . The wavelength of 160 nm generated by the 5th harmonic is the shortest ever obtained by nonlinear crystals.
