Abstract
In this paper, a tunable and cascaded Brillouin-erbium random fiber laser (RFL) has been proposed and experimentally investigated. The scheme of a half-open cavity is used to provide random distributed feedback (RDFB). The results show the proposed RFL has one to four Stokes lines when 980 nm pump power increases from 130 mW to 297 mW and Brillouin pump is equal to 2 mW. Output lasing wavelengths can be tuned by changing Brillouin pump wavelengths. The effect of fiber lengths used as RDFB on output lasing power has also been detected.
