Abstract
Nitrogen-vacancy centers, atomic-scale luminescent defects in diamond, are used to transduce frequency-modulated microwave signals to intensity-modulated fluorescence. Our work could lead to realization of radio receivers operating in extreme environments, including high temperature and pressure.
