Abstract
The spectral characteristics of nonlinear mirror based on parametric process ω → ω1 + ω2 are analyzed. The nonlinear mirror consists of parametric crystal, glass plate for phase compensation, and trichroic mirror for ω, ω1, ω2 waves.1,2 Up to now the analysis of nonlinear mirror was focused mainly on the dependence of reflection coefficient on input radiation intensity. We report results of spectral-characteristics calculations of nonlinear mirror. The first attempt to consider spectral properties of nonlinear mirror was made in Ref. 2, where the authors found occasional mode resonances in the laser with nonlinear mirror. Our calculations give the whole spectral picture of nonlinear reflection, and moreover they elucidate the phase properties of nonlinear mirror, which is very important for chirp formation of ultrashort pulses generated by laser with passive mode-locking by such a mirror.
