Abstract
It is well known that degenerated backward four wave mixing is an attractive technique for the generation of the phase conjugate light waves using photorefractive crystals. Generally, large reflection coefficients are reached when gratings are recorded via diffusion charge transport process. In this paper, we consider the phase conjugation in BaTiO3 using an unusual geometry where the refractive index gratings cannot be classically recorded and when they appear through the high order mixing processes with the scattered light.
