Abstract
Silica glasses can be used as optical materials for high-power lasers, because they have no internal absorption in a wide range of wavelength from ultraviolet to near-infrared, and extremely small defects such as inclusion and bubbles[1]. There are two groups : synthetic fused silica (SFS) and fused quartz (FQ) produced by melting natural quartz powder.
