Abstract
Development of multiterawatt laser systems has a growing importance, since it enables the investigation of laser-matter interaction at until recently unachieved levels of the incident flux density e g. 10 W/cm2 and higher. Table top design of these systems makes them available and accessible for a broad variety of users, and experiments. The 10 TW Ti:Sa laser system presented here runs at 10 Hz and delivers 300 mJ laser pulses with a duration of about 30 fs. It has-been successfully used in laser-matter interaction experiments at flux density levels of 10 W/cm , which have been only reached by very few systems so far.
