Abstract
There has been an increased interest in coherent lidar for remote wind sensing in the past few years, especially due to a demand in the wind energy industry. A coherent wind lidar installed on the wind turbine has the potential to improve the pitch control of the rotor blades by providing advance information on variations in the wind field.
