Abstract

Zinc tungstate (ZnWO4) has been known for its advantageous photoluminescent properties as well as high chemical stability and low price, and it is a promising material for various applications including scintillators, microwave devices, fiber optical communications, NO2 sensors etc. However, its nonlinear optical properties have not been so much investigated, therefore in this work we experimentally investigate the second order nonlinear optical response from the ZnWO4 samples obtained by means of micro-pulling-down technique [1] and study the related effects that arise.
