80 nm tunable semiconductor disk lasers in DBR-free geometry

Abstract

We report an 80 nm tunable DBR-free semiconductor disk laser with 6 W CW output power. We attributed such wide tunability to the broad effective gain bandwidth allowed by the DBR-free geometry.
