Increasing Transmission Capacity of FBMC/OQAM-VLC Systems Enabled by Precoding and Adaptive Modulation

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate the transmission of gigabit-class precoded/adaptively-modulated FBMC/OQAM signals in a blue-LED-based VLC system with 3-dB bandwidth of 70-MHz. The transmission capacity is improved by 150/450-Mbit/s with precoding/adaptive-modulation at the BER of 3.8e-3.
