Advances in 10.6 μm HgCdTe Detectors for Heterodyne Applications

Abstract

This paper reviews recent progress in HgCdTe photodiodes operating at 77 K for near-quantum-limited heterodyne detection of CO2 laser radiation at bandwidths of up to 2.5 GHz.
