Abstract
The estimated 300kBytes per second data stream gives approximately 1 GBytes per hour and 2-3GBytes per flight. In the data center, these level 0 data from the WIND sensor and from the aircraft instrumentation will be combined and preprocessed. After that procedure the resulting level 1 data - the corrected LOS velocity components- can be handled further on, to produce level 2 data- the end product of the sensor line. These are, for example wind vectors or turbulent quantities together with information like time, height, and geographical position. Archiving and delivery of the data is possible at any position of the data chain. Table 1 one shows an overview for the different levels of data processing.
