Abstract
In this paper, an experimental investigation for the measurement of freeform surfaces using a sub-aperture scanning and stitching approach is presented. The Shack Hartmann Sensor (SHS) and the Modified Talbot Wavefront Sensor are used. The full wavefront transmitted through the freeform surface is divided into a number of small sub-apertures. Series of measurements are conducted and stitched together in order to obtain afull profile of the surface. The experimental results are compared with those obtained by simulations.
