Abstract
We demonstrate the three-dimensional (3D) position measurement of a nanometer-sized polystyrene sphere held in optical tweezers in water using an in-line low-coherence digital holographic microscope. The calculation cost of the 3D position from the hologram was reduced by a 3D sub-pixel estimation while keeping the spatial resolution of a nanometer order.
