Sample Transmittance and Camera Bit-Depth Effects in Single-Shot Digital Holographic Microscopy

Abstract

The effect of sample transmittance and bit depth of digital cameras on quantitative phase imaging in off-axis digital holographic microscopy is studied. Adequate processing of transmittances below 1 % in a 16-bit-depth camera is shown.
