Service-Aware Genetic Algorithm for Link Power Control in Multi-band Optical Transmission Systems

Abstract

We propose a service-aware genetic algorithm for launch power optimization in meshed multiband optical networks. Results show that adopting different launch power optimization criteria per link enables to selectively increase capacity compared with using a single criterion.
