Abstract
Multiple quantum well bistable microcavities are a promising approach towards the realisation of optical switching or memory arrays, and recent improvements in the fabrication of etched microresonator arrays,1 have allowed to reduce the power consumption to less than 100 μW/device and the switching energy to 200 fj.
