Abstract
The scattering of laser radiation during slow collisions of atoms is an interesting process of double scattering: scattering of the radiation and scattering of the atoms. There is the interaction of colliding atoms and that of the laser field with the atomic pair in this process. If the final atomic states are the same as the initial ones and if the incident radiation is in resonance to a transition between electronic terms of this pair, the light scattering is analogous with the resonance Raman scattering from diatomic molecules. In this report the collisional resonance Raman-like scattering (CRRS) is considered within a quasimolecular electronic terms picture.
