Abstract
We present the results of a study of nonlinear spatio-temporal light dynamics in a system consisting of ferroelectric LC film (FLCF) illuminated by a light source and a mirror providing a two-dimensional feedback. The FLCF is characterized by a switch between two uniform polarization states corresponding to two values of refractive index, induced by an externally applied electric/light field. A plane wave passing through FLCF gets a phase transverse distribution depending on the intensity IFB(r) of light beam reflected from the mirror. The feedback intensity modulation is a result of diffraction on the distance 2L of the input light beam with a non-uniform wave front.
