Abstract
In the last decade, the development of appropriate nonlinear materials has inspired a resurgence of interest in optical parametric oscillators as sources of tunable, coherent light [1]. It is now relatively easy to achieve oscillation in pulsed, singly-resonant configurations, the main attraction of which is their minimal requirement of resonating only one field. Here we present theoretical and numerical results on the complicated nonlinear dynamics of singly-resonant synchronously pumped OPOs in the picosecond regime.
