Abstract
The regime of strong coupling between quantum well excitons and cavity photons has become the subject of intense theoretical and experimental research over the recent years [1-3]. Stationary nonlinear localized excitations in the form of dark solions have been analyzed in such systems, supported by strong defocusing nonlinearity [4]. In this work we report novel type of localized bright solitons, existing due to intrinsic bistability of the system allowing spatial discontinuities in exciton field.
