Abstract
A great attention has been devoted recently to the role of temporal delay on the spectral, dynamical and stochastic properties of the light emitted by nonlinear devices with external feedback. In this work we consider the spatial analogous of temporal delay that is a two point nonlocality. This nonlocality couples each point in the transverse plane of a light beam with a shifted one and models the effects introduced by off-axis external feedback. The presence of tilted or off-axis beams is a common experimental issue and has also been subject of both theoretical and experimental study in liquid crystals light valves, Kerr-like media [1] and generic nonlinear systems with diffusive [2] and diffractive [3] coupling.
