Abstract
We study the propagation of a soliton pattern through an optical fiber in the presence of weakly disordered dispersion and birefringence. We show that the solitons, perturbed by the disorder, radiate and as a result, lose the energy. The emergence of a long-range inter-channel interaction between the solitons is also presented. The rigorous theoretical analysis is confirmed by the numerical simulation.
