Abstract

It was found that the temperature dependence of stimulated emission cross section (σ_em) of Nd:YVO₄ and Nd:GdVO₄ were severer than Nd:YAG. σ_em of Nd:YAG, Nd:YVO₄, and Nd:GdVO₄ decreased 0.20%/°C, 0.50%/°C, and 0.48%/°C at 20°C, respectively.
