Abstract
Driving force and dynamics of a photo-reaction of a photosensor protein, phototropin were investigated by a time-resolved transient grating method. In particular, combining the optical method (transient grating method) and a high pressure equipment, we successfully determined the thermodynamic properties in time-domain. The result indicates that the enhanced fluctuation of the conformation is a key factor of the driving force for the reaction. Since this protein has sometimes been used for optogenetics, this information will be useful for applications.
