Fabricating Periodically Poled Lithium Niobate Thin Films with Sub-Micrometer Fundamental Period

Abstract

We present sub-micrometer periodic poling of ion-sliced x-cut magnesium oxide doped lithium niobate thin films. The poled domains are characterized by piezoresponse force microscopy. A fundamental period of 776 nm is achieved.
