Abstract
Femtosecond light pulses in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) are used for photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) to study the system c(4×2)-2CO on Pt(111). Laser generated UPS spectra in the energy range 20 - 70 eV are compared with synchrotron radiation generated spectra. The laser based method enables pump-probe experiments with femtosecond resolution and is therefore suitable to investigate dynamical processes on surfaces.
